Started off the first night of summer break partying it up with friends. A guy friend, Dave, graduated from school to be a nurse no less! Of course, most of my friends are nurses why not the guys too right? It's a pure coincidence. I have a good friend who is a teacher. They aren't all nurses!

Anyway we got a party bus and we had a GREAT night. I honestly didn't get drunk really. I wasn't in the mood to feel sick so I paced myself. I had a great time. Now I am sitting on my BUTT and loving it. I do not have my nose in a book and it's great. :) I am going to try and really enjoy every second that I have off this summer.

Come on. I have to do it! We had big Halloween party last year, so we are doing it again this year. I got my costume tonight and snapped a few pics. Excuse my messy hair! haha I bought it and then cleaned the house, then tried this on. I'll have my hair and makeup all done on Halloween. Anyone doing anything for Halloween? Do you have some crazy costume ideas? My hubby doesn't know what he wants to go as yet.

When I arrived at the Halloween store tonight there was a car blaring music outside with speakers on the roof of it. It was the radio station and they were inside doing the show. I went in and talked to them. I do not "think" I was on the radio but um....I don't know. He just said hi and started telling me to enter to win Jay-Z tickets so I did.

For the most part it was a quiet weekend anyway. I hosted a birthday bash for my 12 year old and a whole lot of her friends. She has a *boyfriend* or so she calls him. My dad was a strict man. Kids tend to say when they have a boyfriend or girlfriend that they are "going out". Well my father would tell me "Where ya going??!! You aren't going anywhere!" He also made it clear in no uncertain terms that if he heard us ever say we were going out with a boy he would whip our butts. Except he didn't put it so delicately. Seriously I don't find an issue with it. He's right. They aren't going anywhere. I supervise and I'm not dumb enough to let them be alone but really the only time she sees him is at school. It's more of a social thing at her age and I'm ok with that. The kid seems very nice as well. Beyond the birthday party we didn't do a lot. I did some shopping yesterday. Minor shopping but shopping nonetheless. I am kind of a shopaholic without the cash. Ha! I need to be rich so I can shop as often as I want. It's not like I need to go out either. I can do it online. I'm down with that. I am a shopoholic wannabe. I don't waste the cash. I pay the bills. I just am so pathetic that I even enjoy grocery shopping. *sigh*

We had a decent turnout for the birthday party last night. It seems everyone had some ailment though. My brother in law who usually sings a lot was losing his voice. My good friend Allecia was recovering from a migraine, and another friend had just had hip surgery and was therefore on crutches. I chuckle as I sit here and think how a party would be when my husband is turning oh say 75 instead of 35.

Regardless we had a good time. The hubby certainly had a great time. I sang a bit and began to lose my voice from talking and singing too much. I didn't really get much for pics. I sort of just let my camera sit there and we only snapped a few of the party...but I did get some from before it started. haha Those were from my camera phone though. I am pretty tired since everyone finally left around 3 a.m. I could use a nap. Enjoy the pics!

We had a great time last night at a friend's house. Actually it's my sister's boss. They're all nurses and I am on my way to being a nurse. I think everyone practically needed a nurse after eating the hot wings they served up. I refused to even try it. Everyone was gasping and choking because of how hot they were. I don't tolerate really hot things all that well. I'm posting some pics so you can kind of see what I did with my Saturday night. I started to feel so tired at around 11 p.m. but still ended up staying until 2:00 a.m. It was a lot of fun. Now for pics. ;) Notice in the last pic I was just pretending to sit. There is no couch under my butt. lol OK and I realize compared to everyone else I desperately need to tan.
